We are looking to hire a full-time Children’s Program and Operations Assistant and Outreach Program Coordinator for the summer. These are contract positions with varying start dates. Please contact us for details!
The candidate must fulfill the following criteria:
Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
Be registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and intends to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and is legally entitled to work in Canada
Children's Programs & Operations Assistant
Assist in the development of children’s programs with curriculum based on cooperation, creativity and leadership
Assist with the coordination and guidance of children’s summer camps and related activities
Support in the development of general educational activities and programs that match the CFBF’s values
Assist in the creation and coordination of summer events for children in order to bring awareness in the community about CFBF
Support in the development of the program “Reading for Peace and Cooperation”
Assist in finding new opportunities to partner and work with other not-for-profit organizations that support children and youth.
Outreach and Event Coordinator
Support the development and promotion of our Outreach programs.
Create a database of organizations and associations that can host and promote our Outreach programs
Research the market and identify event opportunities and generate interest
Find suitable locations for the workshops and educational presentations
Organize material, staff, and logistics for promotional and fundraising events
Contact local community leaders to create an awareness to our services
Develop and maintain effective collaborative and professional working relationships and partnerships with the community
Assist in creating opportunities with local and social media
Assist in the coordination, management and facilitation of programs and community outreach initiative
